Chalet Rufo
Situated in the heart of the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps between Chamonix and Geneva, the Haut-Giffre valley is home to a handful of magnificent alpine villages. One of these villages is Samoëns. Chalet Rufo, a converted 18th-century barn, is located in the Samoëns hamlet of Vercland, 1 km from Samoëns center, at an altitude of 850 m.
The chalet is carefully renovated using ancient wood and high-quality materials. This spectacular area is protected and therefore hasn’t been spoilt by development or tourism, with Samoëns being awarded a ‘Coq d’Or’ for being one of the prettiest villages in France. The region is worth a visit in the winter as well as in the summer.
Chalet Rufo is perfectly situated for a holiday in the Alps at any time of the year. In the summer, it provides direct access to nearby walking and mountain bike trails. A fantastic family restaurant and bar are located less than a 5-minute walk from the chalet. The village centers of Samoëns and Morillon are a 5-minute drive away. In winter, you can take the ski bus to the village.
During the winter, you will have direct access to the high-speed 10-seater ski lift that brings you to the skiing area of Grand Massif. This area consists of 5 ski resorts with 266 km of pistes for every level. Most of the descents are situated at a height between 1600 and 2500 m. In combination with snow cannons, this provides good quality snow and excellent skiing conditions.
